Hi, I’m Rachel!  

I’m a trauma-trained personal coach, supporting you in mindfulness, somatic healing, self-care, and courageous connection to yourself and your soul’s path.

I’ve spent over 20 years in the body-mind wellness field, including a decade spent running a busy bodywork practice. I’ve been fortunate to work with many hundreds of clients and partner with them in immense change and transformation at the level of their body-mind.

But much of my deepest learning came from the lessons of my personal path – including overcoming debilitating depression and complete recovery from an autoimmune illness. Because of my own experience, I know the immense power that our body/ minds hold.

I empower spiritual teachers, empaths, healers, and conscious, creative change-makers to live the fullness of your gifts in the world while feeling awesome in your body and mind.

What is Somatic Experiencing?

 

Somatic Experiencing ® (SE) is a body-oriented approach to the healing of trauma and other stress disorders. 

It is the life’s work of Dr. Peter A. Levine, drawing from his multidisciplinary study of stress physiology, psychology, ethology, biology, neuroscience, indigenous healing practices, and medical biophysics, together with over 45 years of successful clinical application.

The SE method provides a unique and effective pathway to discharge old stress and trauma that has been stuck in the body, and move the system into greater ease and flow.

 

(In other words… we move your nervous system out of places where it’s been “stuck” due to overloads of stress, or traumatic experiences from the past. 

And we teach your nervous system smarter, healthier, and more optimal ways of functioning so you can live and thrive at your highest and best!)

My headaches and migraines have lessened in frequency and intensity, (even while work and life circumstances have become more stressful externally).

This is a clear departure from past pain patterns that have consistently shown up with periods of stress.

I’ve found myself saying “this would have been a migraine” many times.

In addition, I’ve noticed that my relationships have improved, because I’m more able to be around the changing energy of the people in my life without absorbing their energy like a sponge.

In working with Rachel, I experienced and understand what it feels like to regulate my nervous system. I am more in tune with my body and its sensations. I am aware of when my body is communicating and how it is trying to relay messages to me.

I’ve noticed these changes have helped me help people more in sessions. I am able to detect when a client’s nervous system is offline or stuck. I also detect when there is trauma that has created issues or disease.

If more people are aware of trauma, their nervous systems, and how that affects our life condition we can all move towards a path of understanding, compassion, and healing.

hey Rachel, just wanted to share that I had an important realization related to our work together.

Right now, I have more business than ever — I’m booked for 3 solid weeks and requests for sessions are still coming in.

I just sat down outside in the yard and realized that something has happened with my nervous system because it is now allowing me to receive all of these clients, bookings, and ATTENTION from others.

I’ve felt an increased sense of confidence, vitality, and ease in working with clients. I’m able to show up much more open, without a rigid agenda, and to allow things to unfold in the moment.

I know this comes from feeling much more solid in my body, which helps me feel grounded, confident, and connected.
